I do really like this picture and would love to see a colour version. I really like her pose, it defiantly looks like she is casting a spell and you get that impressions when you first look at the picture.
I love her out fit it is very cool, esecailly of all of the belts and the feather round her collar! As far as improvements go i have a couple of bits which i think would make this picture even better, the first is the cape i think if you gave the impression is was flowing backwards it would make the picture look more dynamic. It is the top of the cap that makes it look stiff the bottom does look pretty flowing.
The other thing is the feet i think they look a little odd. Apart from that it is a very cool picture and i like it very much and i hope to see more art like it.

Nice pose, the image exudes a dramatic power that catches the eye. That is a plus from the get-go!

The mindflayer staff is a great touch. Gatan is the definition of the petite and deliciously
hard-boiled damsel who is never in any sort of distress. The armour/outfit design is great,
the character is sexy and her compliments the story's nicely varied cast of personalities.

The only real downside here is that the arms could be a mite longer.

She is physically a small character, but compared to the length
of her legs, the arms need to stretch just a little...

All in all, lovely work!
Basically about 90% perfect.
